There a little blank wall in my office that is lit by a spotlight.  When I first moved in here, I used this wall light on occasion, like this 2002 film image I made with Leona during her first visit:

When we got up from the alcove, I saw that spot & realized that I hadn't used it in a while.  We decide to make a few exposures to finish our day.

The lighting is challenging, and for me, digital photography is still challenging.  I think I did a good job with both the exposure & the color balance.  (I never had to worry about color balance when I was working in B&W film).

But somehow, this picture looks fuzzy to me.  But if I take a close look at Ryonen's face, it seems to be well in focus.  And the shutter speed (1/50th of a second) seems fast enough motion.  Maybe it's the lens -- the aperture was f/4.0, which is fairly wide open.

I find this image interesting because the shadow of Ryonen's arms look like dark wings.  I wish I could say that I planned it that way, but that would be lying -- it's a happy accident.

Ryonen is a mesmerizing beauty.  It was a privilege to work with her.  I'm sure you'll be seeing her in magazines & TV ads soon -- watch for her.
