Greg is the photographer behind GM Photography.  He lives about a three hour drive away.  When he became aware that Keira is visiting down here in Portland, Oregon, he contacted her, but her schedule was nearly full, and without transportation, she just couldn't travel to work with Greg.  Instead, Greg volunteered to travel to Keira.  The only problem -- Greg knew no one in town & had no place in which to work.  From our conversations, Keira knew that I was willing to be supportive to local artists and that I had previously loaned out my house in the past.  She called me to see if I'd be willing to let Greg work here, and I was.

Later, Jay & Jadzia of the Grace And Beauty web site also wanted to work with Keira, and the only time slot she had left was immediately before Greg's arrival.  We made the necessary arrangement.  It was a fairly long day for Keira, but she was energetic & productive throughout the day.

Greg says...

"This set with Keira Grant was fun and challenging.  I traveled to Portland, where Looknsee Photography was kind enough to let me shoot in his home.  He has a beautiful old Victorian house right in the middle of Portland and there were a number of great locations for us to shoot in.  I had traveled light, just bringing some speedlights and umbrellas.  Our host offered to let me use his strobes, but I thought it would be fun to see what I could do in an unfamiliar location using nothing but speedlights.  All of the shots in this series were done "strobist" style with 1 or 2 speedlights (one Olympus FL-50R and one Sunpak 383) and umbrellas.  This is one of my favorite shoots to date.  Keira was fantastic to work with, our host was very gracious and his house offered some really neat places to shoot, and I was able to make some images that I really like. "

This image, above, is my favorite "Behind The Scenes" image.
Now, if only I could get people to stand still!
