I
knew the party would be distracting,
and that I wouldn't have the ability
to plan a sitting, as is my
habit. So, after doing the Makeshift
Guest Room Studio images, I ask
Yulia if there were any kind of images
she'd like to do. She suggested
that I could better utilize my house,
so for the rest of the sitting, we
did. The morning sun was bright
this particular day, so we were able
to use natural light.

At
one end of the guest room is the bed; the
makeshift studio was along the same wall at the
other end of the room. Here is the
opposite wall; there's a little area nestled
between the wall & a closet. There is
a skylight, under which is a nice table &
some chairs. We start utilizing the house
by having Yulia pose on the table, under the
skylight. |
|
|
| We
wander the house. The guest
room is at the top of the back
stairs, so our next stop is
here. I move past Yulia &
photograph her from the landing at
the base of the back stairs. |
|
|
| Here,
Yulia enhances my reputation with my
next door neighbors. (Not
really -- the house next door is
currently vacant). I am liking
the wide angle lens distortion --
this is a large space made to appear
even larger with the wide angle
lens. I then come up with an
idea of a sequence of images, with
the lovely Yulia walking by me &
going up the stairs. Look! |
|
|
| For
the first time, I put the teeny,
tiny digital camera on my big honkin'
tripod, and that helps keep the
framing of these images
consistent. While there are
some nice individual images, I like
the sequence the best. There
are more images from this sequence
than are presented here. Those
of you with access to the Out
Takes Galleries will be able to
see the entire sequence, cobbled
together into one animated GIF
image.
Did
you see the one image (a few images
ago), with Yulia standing tall &
straight, with her right foot in the
patch of sunlight, and with that
big, big smile on her face.
That's Yulia. Not the model,
the person. |
|
| Having
milked the back stairs for lots of
images, we move to the front of the
house, the living room. The
living room windows face west, and
this was morning, but there is a 6
story building across the street, and
there's plenty of light bouncing off
that building's windows to provide
some nice light in the living
room.
This
sitting concludes with Living
Room As Is
