So,
we move across the room & make some
pictures in the big comfy chair. I'm
still having some focus problems, and such
problems are doubled because my old eyes are
no longer good enough to check the focus in
the camera's LCD screen. Still, we make
some exposures here. |

Sylvia
notices my collection of photography books in
the bookcase besides the big comfy
chair. So, we look at some photos.
Here's one she especially liked (by Ruth
Bernhard, I think). |
I had it in my mind to
do some images here in the big comfy chair, probably because the light
was really nice before Sylvia arrived. But by the time we
finished working on the other side of the room, the light had changed,
and I felt that it was too contrasty. So we moved on to another
spot, upstairs.

Normally,
I present images on this page
in the order that they were
made, but I'm not doing that
here. After giving up on
the big comfy chair, Sylvia
& I went upstairs &
made some images under the
skylight (which are featured
on the next
page). After that,
we slid over into this little
alcove for some final images.
Below
is a B&W and color version
of the same image.

Like I did in the previous
sitting with Arie, I only scheduled a two hour sitting with
Sylvia. I think the new, shorter sitting length is working out,
especially if I do a little more planning ahead & set up different
concepts in different parts of the house before the model arrives.
I like this picture
-- there's very good interpersonal contact, and I'm glad we don't see
too much.

The
two setups shown on this page could be
considered "filler" setups
-- things I wanted to try.
However, I knew before Sylvia arrived
that the primary concepts were the
"Getting Started" images
from the previous page, and the
skylight pictures on the next page.
This
sitting concludes with Under
The Skylight.
