We found the stool to be limited -- I mean, there's just so much you can do on it.  So, I have an ottoman for my big, comfy chair-and-a-half -- we drag that over, change the lights around, and continue.

I like this "light from both sides" setup, especially on a slim model like Madison.  It's hard to tell, but the light on the left side of the image is a big soft box; the light from the right side is harder -- a strobe with a small reflector.  It's hard to tell the difference, unless you focus on her face.  So, I show both pictures side by side, with Madison's face facing each light source.  Which do you prefer?

That chair-and-a-half is very comfy, and I've used it before during photography sittings (and will use it again, no doubt).  I also have used the ottoman as a posing platform, too, but this time, I noticed how much the model sinks into it.  It's comfortable for extra sitting, but because it's so soft, I don't like it much for posing.  So, we drag the couch over & reset the lights.

Assessment:  I think this last picture is among my favorites from this sitting.  I love the textures -- skin, fringes, pillow, background.  And I like the light, the composition, and the pose flatters Madison's figure.  Finally, the lighting is spot on:  I like how Madison's figure pops out from the shadow of the tent made from the throw blanket.  Finally, that streak of light hair defines the edge of her head in the blanket shadow.  This was one of those rare images that I knew would be good when it was made -- most of the time, I'm hoping & waiting to see the contact sheets.  What do you think?

(Remember -- feedback is always appreciated)
