Whipped

Lydia & I continue to dive into the large box of Spartacus Leathers products.

We move to some simple images on the floor. I like this particular one because of the wide angle distortion, which I've been enjoying lately.

We reach into the bag o' stuff & pull out this leather whip thing. It's funny, Ashton posed with a similar product on her "Surrender, Ashton" page. When she posed with it, she just swung it so that it wrapped itself around her thigh. I mention this to Lydia, saying that these products really didn't hurt. Lydia said we weren't using it correctly -- she then took the whip & flicked it, so that the tips snapped against the skin on my arm. Now, that hurt -- it hurt good! Like I said, Lydia is definitely experienced.

Can you tell -- Ashton's whip was black leather, but Lydia's whip is red.

Now you can tell the whip is red. I like the juxtaposition of the red whip tails with Lydia's lustrous long red hair. This could have been lit better, but Lydia looks particularly yummy.

One last image for these public galleries. Playing with these leather products makes for a slow sitting -- it takes a while to figure out & adjust the products.
But the sitting didn't end here -- we did have one final setup. Lydia models a leather half-bra & panties set while wearing a dildo harness, using radically different (and if I may said so, nice) lighting setup. Assessment: Lydia has a smokin' figure, and she is very experienced with fetish & bondage posing. Further, I love working with models multiple times, and this is Lydia's fifth sitting with me. After multiple sittings, a good working relationship develops, and trust is essential to bondage photography. It is very gratifying when a model consents to pose for these kinds of images.

I've also got to admit that it is a challenge to do fetish/bondage photography using good photographic skills, and I think we've come close. I still have some work to do -- I like shadows in my fine art photography, but in many of these pictures, the shadows hide too much. Further, good lighting isn't quite enough -- the best fetish images have a sense of drama, and that is lacking in most of these images. But it is a good lesson, and any sitting that teaches me something and/or inspires future sittings is a good sitting.
