Lynsey
occupies the chair, and I start by looking at
the natural window light. |
|
Note
that the jeans are still in
place. We discuss this -- with
the jeans still on, we have the
opportunity to try some relaxed
poses that I wouldn't be comfortable
making if she was totally
nude. I've got to tell you, it
is a bit liberating for both of us
(or at least me). |
|
Okay
-- we've spent nearly the entire sitting with
those jeans, and I figure that before we are
done, we should retire them for a while.
It's
funny -- it took us a while to hit our stride
once the jeans came off. I asked Lynsey
for some "less is more" poses -- the
idea was to cover her body with this blanket,
covering all her girly bits but letting us know
that she was nude underneath. It took a
little while to get that working.
|
|
We
are moving that blanket around,
trying to get it just right.
That fringe is enticing, but we
still don't get it quite
right. That's what some of
these sittings are like -- we start
with a concept, make adjustments,
and work it until we think we get it
right. |
|
I'm
just not getting these blanket
images right. So, we gradually
move away from them. |
|
Okay,
the blanket might now be working all
that well, but Lynsey looks fabulous
lying down. In fact, I've
never seen a model look better
horizontally. |
It's
funny, we struggled with the
blanket, but once we discarded
it, and we get Lynsey to lie
back a bit, we suddenly found
some images that got me
excited. I made lots of
exposures, and the best ones are
here for your perusal.
I'm
not sure what I like about these
images. Like I said,
Lynsey looked terrific when she
was reclined -- I love her
curves & muscle
tonality. The light is
working really well. I
just was having a good
time. It's a good thing
being happy as you make
exposures.
|
|
|
Here's
a variation of the "less is more"
idea. I definitely am a fan of "less
is more".
I
should note that we are using natural light
here. Lynsey & I did that a lot during
this sitting.
|
|
The
thing about using natural light is
that it is constantly changing, as
the earth spins & weather
patterns change. Also,
utilizing natural light indoors can
be a challenge, as light falls off
quickly as you move from the window
/ light source. Here, we have
Lynsey move around, and with her
head now moved closer to the window,
the light & the exposure is
radically different. |
|
It
was a small thing -- with her head
around the right arm of the chair,
the light just wasn't right.
So, we move Lynsey over to the left
arm of the chair, and the light is
much better. And Lynsey still
looks fabulous reclining back. |
|
Once
she starts moving, she keeps moving
(something I like a lot). Note
that she has returned to the chair's
right arm, but this time, the light
is better. Perhaps, she's a
bit higher, or perhaps the light is
changing. We are running out
of time, so we make a few final
exposures. |
