I've used this "close canyon" setup before, but only with a single model.  I figured it might be interested to get two models crowed into the tight space.  For one thing, the close quarters will promote a lot of touching.  For another thing, the top down lighting would imply that no one model will be casting her shadow onto the other.

I know right away that I'm going to like the light, the shadows, the textures, and so forth.

I like the off-center composition here, and that the shadows hide some details without detracting from the image.

You know -- I don't have a lot to say about these particular images.  They tend to speak for themselves.

I'm a big fan of unusual compositions, but they've got to work.  Normally, I want a vertical composition for vertical subject matter, but here's a horizontal composition of two standing (vertical) models.  Yet, the textures & swags & shadows somehow make this all work.  This kind of image haunt me, because I'm not entirely sure why this all works & I'll know I'll meditate on this until I figure it out.

The models move down to the floor.  With all that empty space above them, this qualifies as another non-standard composition.

I think that the models have moved lower, but I haven't moved the camera.  When photographing standing models, most (beginner) photographers tend to position their cameras at standing eye level.  I don't like that -- I'm taller than most of my models, and by creating images from a high perspective, the resulting images tend to make the model's legs look short & stumpy.  You'll note that I tend to photograph models from their waist level -- or from the level of my eye when I'm sitting.  That way, the model's proportions are more natural.

So, here, the camera is still at standing-waist level.  I'm sure I'll move the camera higher & lower soon enough.

For a change of pace, here's a close up...

... and one not so close.

It's nice to see Krisha taking some initiative.

Okay, we got a lot of kissing pictures with me down on the floor with the models.  The challenge with these two-model erotic sittings is that it's difficult to make changes when the action is steamy & natural.  But I'm not ready to give up on this close quarters setup, so I simply climb the stairs, position the camera near the light, and look straight down.  We make several interesting images.

Here's a token color image, taken during a rare break in the action.  I think Ashley was wondering whether I was going to drop my heavy camera on their heads.  I didn't.

One interesting aspect about photographing from straight up is that you can orient the image in any direction.  So, I rotate things around.

I like how their legs are intertwined.

I like this image, especially because Krisha's left arm is hiding one of Ashley's tattoos.

Again, after a while, I begin to feel that I'm not making progress.  Sure, the ladies are lovely & the action is intriguing, but it started to feel like I was making insignificant variations on the same theme.  I had one more idea to try:  I've photographed lots of models in the shower, but I never put two models in there at the same time.

This sitting concludes with Steamy.
